The Light Factory has chosen to skip the first week of April for CMS Spring Break. The below class schedules reflect this change.

INTRO TO DSLR PHOTOGRAPHY
Overwhelmed by all the manual settings and buttons on your camera? We can help.

You can master aperture, shutter speed, exposure, metering, electronic flash, and white balance for color corrections and creative effects. We will introduce you to basic compositional principles that will push your images to the next level, making them more professional and interesting. This class is hands-on and includes in-class critiques and extended shooting assignments in Center City Charlotte.

You should bring a 35 digital single lens reflex (SLR) camera (with manual controls), the manual for the camera and we’ll supply the rest. Class size is limited to 12 students.

Evening, daytime and satellite classes meet once a week for six weeks. The Light Factory is also offering a one-week version of Intro to DSLR and class will meet M-F from 10am-1pm. This class reflects a reduced fee based on the lesser amount of contact hours with the instructor.
